TWO BILLS AND TWO BRONZE FOR BIRCHWOOD ATHLETICS CLUB

4 members of the Birchwood Athletics Club took part in this year’s uphill 89.9 km Comrades Marathon. Johannes Phoko, Thomas Makgoba, Sidney Ngobeno and Johannes Maskgae did the club proud.

Out of 19617 entries, the 4 Birchwood Athletic Club runners did exceptionally well with the following results:

Thomas Makgoba reports, “The race was fun and we enjoyed and we encourage Birchwood Employees to take a part in such even as we were running with many people from other countries like Australia, Russia, Zimbabwe, Brazil USA, UK and many more.

We also would like to thank our Big Boss Kevin, his wife and Derri, Salzina for arranging everything for us travelling and accommodations, Kevin and wife all the way from Jo burg  to Durban to give us support and encouragement that was a big deal Kevin, we are all still motivated as you did it for us and lead as an example.

Other supports through SMS from Birchwood employees and management were received and replied that was really Birchwood spirit that we needed.  Go Birchwood Go I liked it.
