I would like to make special reference to the lady, who at the last minute, managed to conjure up a snack in lieu of our set lunch as our conference ran behind schedule.

Just a quick note of thanks - My husband and I celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary on Saturday and decided to use the hotel voucher.
The service was excellent from the check-in desk to the breakfast staff. The room was lovely and clean and we enjoyed our stay.

Linda was a pleasure and organized everything to a T.

The food was outstanding. Everybody was raving about it.

If you can please say thank you to all the people that worked here last night. They were great. Very friendly and very helpful.

Thank you very much for the extra vigilance and attention that we received in what I can only describe as a very successful day; in terms of us hosting our CEO and Chairman of our Group. I’m fully aware that The Birchwood (you and your staff) went the “extra” mile to assist and accommodate us and it certainly did reflect in the impression that it made on our guests.

This is not a reservation, but a big Thank You.
On December 18. I flew from Namibia to Johannesburg, back to Canada from my mother's funeral in Windhoek.
Due to snowstorms in London, we could not fly on.
After spending more than 2 hours at the airport, where nobody knew, what they were supposed to do, we took a bus to your Hotel.
The efficiency of your staff was unbelievable. We were in our rooms in no time at all., and were even served a meal around midnight.
We stayed 2 nights, enjoyed your beautiful grounds, while watching the screen seeing people lying on the floor in Heathrow.
The food was excellent, they staff was always helpful.
We received continued information about the flights, and felt really in a good place. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations on such a well run hotel.

Dear Maurice, Lloyd and Kevin,

In this day and age people find the time to complain rather than to congratulate.

After a bumpy start to the organisational requirements for the Swissport South Africa client year end function which revealed a few frustrating moments for myself, Carina and Martina. I would like to absolutely say that your team yesterday deserve every ounce of praise coming their way.

As you know, nearly the entire “Who’s who” of the aviation industry attended our function yesterday. These members of the aviation community are in many cases also decision makers when selecting accommodation for passengers and crew alike. As much as the function was a success for Swissport it was also a huge success for the Birchwood.

This morning I have been inundated with calls from members who attended who wanted to thank us for the function and these are some of the comments which were received:
• The function was orchestrated Swiss precision
• The service at the function was incredible
• The food was superb
• The chocolate chili fillet was unbelievable
• That has got to be the best meal I have ever eaten, not even a 5 star restaurant can beat that
• Yesterdays function is the benchmark for all future functions
• The function was done with absolute style

The above is testimony to the incredible team work which was led by Emlyn and the “blonde lady” who spoke with a slight accent, sorry that I do not know her name.

Emlyn and the team were fantastic. Maybe fantastic is not the right word because they were even more than fantastic. They delivered a service to which the Birchwood can be proud.

What I personally enjoyed was that at no point did Emlyn and the team ever “Look stressed” they took our requests in their stride and delivered with flying colours.

Furthermore a huge compliment to your Chef/s they delivered a 5 star meal. I was personally very impressed with the exceptional quality, and for once in my life at a large function the food was delivered hot and all at once, the service was great.

I received a number of e-mails from clients this morning which I attach to this email. I certainly hope that you will convey our sincere gratitude to the entire team for putting on a SUPER event for Swissport South Africa.

With my best personal regards, we have now set the standard!
