The Birchwood Hotel & OR Tambo Conference Centre has numerous venues suitable for your Banquets - all of which can be decorated to your heart's desire!

If you are looking for a matric farewell, a birthday celebration, cocktail evening or a plated dinner the Birchwood can accomodate most of your requirements.

Venue Hire

Please note that an additional venue hire and minimum capacities apply for all private functions. 

Breakfast
A private breakfast can be arranged in any one of our banquet venues. A minimum number of 30 pax is required to secure a private venue. For smaller groups, a table can be arranged in our breakfast room.

  • Full English breakfast R149.00 per person
  • Champagne breakfast R169.00 per person


Cocktails
A minimum of 50 delegates is required for any cocktail party, but the Birchwood is capable of cocktail parties up to 500 delegates.

Dinner
Various venues are available for private dinner functions. All banquets are seated at round tables.

  • Plated dinner R270.00 per person


Braai
Situated in our garden area adjacent to the Le Grande Conference centre is the Boma. Enjoy a traditional “African” braai in beautifully landscaped surroundings.

  • Braai R200.00 per person

Serengeti Lapa
For an evening with a difference, experience our thatched covered Serengeti lapa. Capable of seating 650 people.

Please note, as of 1 February 2013, a 1% Tourism Levy will be charged on all accommodation room rates. This is in line with the requirements of TOMSA, an initiative which promotes the marketing of South Africa.
